Walnut Gueridon Side Table Directoire Period<\/p>\n

A beautifully crafted walnut gueridon features a red, white and grey variegated marble set into a turned moulded frame. <\/p>\n

The frieze below depicts a laurel leaf band and rope moulding. <\/p>\n

The turned tapered legs have bulbous teardrop and reeded carving. <\/p>\n

Below is a traditionally caned shelf. <\/p>\n

The piece has good proportions and a pleasing mellow patina. The caning is intact and in good condition commensurate with its age. <\/p>\n

There is evidence of some historic (long-gone) worm and the piece has been treated as a precaution. <\/p>\n
