This desk is a craft-handed reproduction of the French Directoire style at the end of the 18th century. The design of this period is remarkable with its straight, classical and timeless lines and remains famous.<\/p>\n

This piece is made exclusively of solid French cherry. The solid wood comes from sustainably managed French forests.<\/p>\n

At the back of the top, 2 ancient accessories are represented : an inkpot (left) and a writing nib receiver (right).
\nThe front drawer opens separately and the front wood panel of the drawer is assembled with dovetails for better durability. <\/p>\n

The top offers a black leather pad, slides and opens to access to the drawer (see additional pictures). <\/p>\n

The shelf between legs can be used to place a printer or a personal computer tower.<\/p>\n

The finish is a light “basalte grey” home made lacquer.<\/p>\n
