This is a Jean Henri Jansen early shallow depth, Dircetoire style buffet. The bronze mount shown in reverse is stamped JJ and the two J’s are side by side facing each other with the flag of each letter J forming an H. This is an early example of Jansen’s work and highly prized. The cabinet is in it’s original finish and features a gorgeous rouge marble slab and gorgeous bronze ormolu. This is a true prize and investment grade piece. Measures 52 wide x 17.25 deep x 40.5 tall. Dates to the late 19th or very early 20th century.<\/span><\/p>\n
