This &#8216;bucket&#8217; chair shows the distinction between the sitting and carrying area, that is so characteristic of the 1950&#8217;s. The minimalistic nickle-plated metal base carries the upholstered wooden shell, that seems to float above the floor. A great design that became, and is still, a big succes. This particular piece is an early model from the 1960&#8217;s that we acquired from the first owner. It has been completely reupholstered with new foam and a high quality 100% pure new wool woven blue fabric, model Tweed, from BUTE fabrics of the Isle of Bute in Scotland.
