This is an extremely heavy Pig Bench Table. The top is a single slab of oak nearly six feet long and over three inches thick. To resist splitting, both ends have heavy duty iron staples hammered deep into the end grain. The big square legs are chamfered on the corners, mortised into oak cleats and attached to the underside of the table top. This table has only been subjected to moderate use and has avoided the deep slices found on some of its fellows. Knee clearance is 27″.
