Primitive perfection!! A charming antique American pine country farmhouse work table in original red paint. Hand-crafted in the early 19th century, originating in the northeastern United States, having a square two board top with canted corners, over single frieze drawer with later patinated brass knob, rising on four sophisticated hand carved squared to octagonal tapered legs. circa 1820
Wonderful warm, rustic, distressed patina that can only be acquired through almost two centuries of age and use. Visible quality pinned mortise through tenon joinery adds antique character and historic depth.

Acquired from a fine Boston, Massachusetts estate, who was a prominent East Coast nautical and early Americana collector.
