Vintage Design
A rare pair of lounge chairs, model 600, designed by Dirk van Sliedregt in 1959 for Gebroeders Jonkers Netherlands.
Dirk van Sliedregt was the master of rattan chairs in the Netherlands in the 1950s/60s.
This model is very hard to find.
They are made of rattan and have a black metal structure. The chairs are quite large, which makes them nice eye-catchers.
As the chairs are form a different production year they have a few slight differences. One is a bit higher, the angled cross bars of the frame are a bit thicker and the backrest is woven slightly different.
The chairs are in very good original condition. One is excellent. The other has has a few minimal damages to the rattan (hardly visible). The metal frames are perfect.
