Vintage Design
The frame has been re-finished in shellac, it has a smooth waxed finish with a nice shine. The chair still retains a few light authentic marks to highlight its genuine heritage. There are also some natural grain markings in the wood. There is a slight angle to one back leg at the base, but this does not affect its stability.
The chair is very comfortable and has been reupholstered in a jacquard wool mix fabric, created in collaboration with British product designer David Irwin. Produced by Bute fabrics, Isle of Bute, Scotland. 68% Wool, 21% Polyamide, 11% Silk.
It is charcoal grey/ dark blue in colour with a mix of pastel orange and light blue flecks. The colour may look more dark blue or charcoal depending on the light.
