This light can be used equally as both a wall applique or a table lamp.
The form comprises a black enameled steel ‘De Stijl’ style relief cut frame with a series of inset red and blue plexiglass diffusers of varying dimensions held in position and suspended on a series of internal springs. The internal fluorescent light source is reflected by a series of internal mirrors onto the rear of the plexiglass diffusers to further enhance the intensity of the lighting effect.
The internal light source is provided by a pair of fluorescent tubes complete with period 1970s ballast and starter unit, all in fully working order.
The light sculpture works perfectly as it is for our European clients who have a 220-240V electrical power supply.
A 240V-110V step down transformer will be needed for our clients in the U.S.A if they want to keep and use the original fluorescent light tubes, ballast unit and starter. A small and discrete step down transformer which plugs directly into an 110V wall outlet can be purchased cheaply and easily via amazon. I can help source this.
