Early 20th Century large two tier colonial style brass chandelier. The scale of this chandelier is appropriate for a great room, barn, or other large space. The top tier has nine arms and the bottom tier has 18 arms. The central stem is made of turned brass elements with a large but proportional bottom ball. It is from the ballroom of a private club in the back bay of Boston. We have three matching chandeliers that have been polished but are not yet assembled or wired. American, C. 1910.
Condition: This chandelier has been cleaned, wax polished, and rewired with new candle covers. Has the original chain and canopy. Cracks in the turned brass around the stem, not unusual for this type of brass at this age. They are not visible when hung and not structural.
