Pair of chairs dated back 1800-1850 from the research we’ve done. We purchased from a retired marine who belonged to an officers club. The club goes overseas to Okinawa and china and loads shipping containers full of antiques. They then ship them home and sell them to make money for future trips. These pieces were extremely dry, so we loaded them with penetrating oils. Once the chairs started rejecting excess oils we then hand rubbed, 5+ coats of danish oil over the top. These chair will last another 100 years in my opinion. It’s hard to get one let alone a pair for this price

Seats are in incredible condition. The last owner used an oil based poly, we stripped it and repeatedly injected the wood with a penetrating oil then applied 5-7 coats of danish oil hand rubbed depending on location of chair. less
