Antique French Carved Louis XV Black Floral Needlepoint Bench

Here we have a gorgeous carved French needlepoint bench or stool. Bold floral against a black background. This bench is quite old, as such there are a couple of things to note: 1) The cambric cover on the bottom is splitting/shredding due to age. 2) There are a couple of missing stitches in the needlepoint, please examine photos. 3) Some of the black yarn has faded. 4) And finally, there is some residual glue on one leg joint where it appears to have been reglued, see pic. Even with these issues it’s still a beautiful bench with lots of life left. Perfect maximalist vibe for a vanity area, at the foot of a bed, an entry or near a window….thanks for looking!!!
