Elyse Gerard, known for her landscapes, portraits and still lifes, uses oil on mounted linen. “A Pear” is just one example of her realist depictions of everyday things. Deferring her painting career, Elyse spent 18 years on Wall Street. In 2001 she moved to Greenbrier, WV, inspired by the natural beauty, and finally was able to channel more energy into her art.
