A Louis XV period Dutch mahogany armoire and chest of drawers that in its time would have been used as a linen press. The armoire is topped with a serpentine carved cartouche showing a classical male head in profile wearing a wreath; inset in open carved acorn branches over a pair of panelled doors in beautifully matched mahogany. The doors are also topped with opposing carved oval profiles. The front sides of the top section have rounded fluted columns with gilded Corinthian capitals flanking carved molded edge floral doors. The lower bombe section of serpentine form with three graduated drawers, original brasses, interior shelving with three drawers; terminating on large carved lions paw feet.
