Rustic 19th century country English drop-leaf farmhouse table or console crafted from oak. The table features a rare rectangular shape with drop leaves on each side supported by turned gate legs that swing out. The oak plank top measures 41.75 inches deep with the leaves open and 27 inches deep with the leaves closed. The table has a total of eight legs and measures 21 inches high from the floor to the apron. One side of the table has a missing plank on the drop leaf as seen in photos. This type of work table was commonly used in the kitchen and would make an interesting console, work table, or display. Provenance: From the estate of artist Ira Yeager (American 1938-2022) Calistoga, CA. The table has a storage drawer on each end.
