Spectacular 18th century Dutch bombe linen press, made from exquisite mahogany and plum pudding figured mahogany throughout the piece. This piece is stunning and is of very large size. The crown has a gorgeous scalloped shape and molding which shows that nothing on this piece wasn’t considered when it was made. The doors on the top open to reveal four shelves over a bank of smaller drawers, flanking a central drawer that pulls down into a small writing surface. The sides are shapely and made of simply grained mahogany, so not to distract from the show stopping front of the case. The base of the case has three smaller drawers over three larger drawers for additional storage. The front of this piece is magical. The plum pudding mahogany is so spectacularly grained , you honestly have a hard time taking your eyes off of it. The case is raised on tall and shapely bracket feet (wheels are not included). This piece is absolutely divine, and would be a focal point in any house that is lucky enough to have it!
