18th century Country French walnut end table simply exudes rustic charm! The beveled top was cut from a single huge plank of old-growth walnut in the days when such large trees were more than plentiful, and a delight to work with the carpenter’s hands. Four smaller posts were carved in very subtle scrolled forms to serve as the legs, then adorned with a single acanthus frond above and another below. The contoured apron has molding carved right into the apron plank itself, with the front fitted with a drawer carved with shell and olive branch motifs and centered with a single small steel button pull. Enduring the centuries by aging gracefully, this instant keepsake is ready to serve your family for another generation or two with subtle, understated style!
