Three wall sconces designed and manufactured in Italy in the Sixties in good conditions overall, green painted metal and brass are in original patina, the glasses are in perfect conditions. These wall-mounted light fixtures share design similarities with the iconic Italian lighting manufacturer Arredoluce. These sconces are designed in mid-century modern style, featuring a sleek and contemporary look. Italy was a major hub for Mid-Century Modern design, and several renowned designers and manufacturers were active during this period, these sconces are a good example of that.

A very high quality antique original pair of gilt bronze ormolu Dore gold quiver design sconces. Finest grade of gold application (looks to be mercury gilding which was the most expensive way of gilding bronze decorative objects in the 19th century) with crisp sharp detailed casting of each sconce (look at the flowing bow on top as well as the quiver and florals applied). A perfect pair with all the original gold intact (light natural tarnished areas consistent with age). A very fine antique original set of four E F Caldwell style (two pairs , 4 perfect matching sconces) silvered bronze signed sconces. Very desired classic modern originals each bronze signed on the back as I show in one of my images ( I can not make out the name , the quality is crisp with sharp cast like E F Caldwell Company ) . Correct and original in every way with the original silver on the bronze showing considerable wear and much tarnished areas as it should being over 120 years old ! Please note it’s very rare to find a true antique set of two pairs of sconces and here it is being offered , a perfect set of 4 sconces .
