Hand-crafted of solid wood, richly detailed original antique character including faux cross-banded faux graining framed highly figured quilted maple grain painted rectangular top with ebonized molded edge, over pegged frame featuring single semi-concealed drawer with quality hand-cut dovetail joinery, rising on tapering baluster form turned legs.

Substantial late 19th century American general store country farmhouse work table crafted from pine. The farm table features a 1.5″ inch thick two-plank top with a natural finish. The top is supported by thick, chunky turned legs giving the table a handsome profile. Heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The table measures 22 inches from the floor to the apron. Could also serve as a dining table, display table, or console. Beautiful aged patina with old paint remnants visible.

19th Century French Normandy Farm Table

A 19th Century French Country farm table or work table from Normandy. Made of solid cherry wood with two sliding doors along the front and one deep dovetailed drawer at the end, each with brass ring pulls. The top is made from a 2″ thick plank with wide pegged border and black linear detail. Beautiful wood grain with warm waxed patina. Sturdy legs joined by a long chestnut stretcher. This was used as a work table and the large scale makes it perfect for use as a kitchen island, center table or sideboard. The inside bottom was replaced. Circa 1850-1860.

18th Century Tyrolean Farmhouse Dining/ Kitchen Table in Fruitwood from Austria

An exceptionally beautiful farm house table from the Tyrolean region of Austria in fruitwood with the rich patina of age acquired from its 250 year history! A multipurpose table, it would have served as a dining table as well as a table used in the preparation of food. Utensils and bread would have been stored in its deep and long drawers, which are decorated with small etched field flowers on the fronts. The box stretcher would have provided a footrest in addition to rendering the table stronger. Offers pegged construction, dovetailed drawers and original wooden pulls. This Alpine table would make a wonderful island in a kitchen and function as a pastry table or food preparation station. It can also be reduced to coffee table height. Austria, circa 1780.
