Dimensions, wood species, finishes can all be modified to your individual preferences. The lead-time is quite long because every component of our drop-leaf table is made by hand.

19th Century Swiss hand-painted drop leaf table is a celebration of the natural spring time beauty of the Alpine country! The rich forest greens are represented as the background, with contrasting brick red bordering and trim. Fully embellished on the frame, supports and of course the entire top, it features foliate scrolls framing an abundance of exquisite wildflowers in various arrangements. When the gate legs are folded in and the leaves dropped, the table is less than 18″ deep, making it suitable for placement behind a sofa, against a wall, or just conserving space in a cozy breakfast nook. Leaves open independently to provide space for 3 guests on each leaf, making this an incredibly versatile addition to your decor. The vibrant colors will liven up any room, as well!

Country drop leaf table from northern Sweden. The table is a typical country home furniture from Sweden and is made around 1820 to 1840. It’s in untouched original condition with authentic patina and wear after 200 years of use. The surface is rustic and worn which plays into the genuine antique character of the table. Each drop table top is 67 cm and the middle section is 27 cm. The table is 116 cm deep and total length is 161 cm.

A stunning late 19th century Cherry Mahogany drop-leaf table that was previously used as a tasting table in a wine cellar. This table boasts a unique acrylic inlay on the top, adding a touch of elegance to its already beautiful design. The table is finished with a Van Dyke brown French polish, giving it a warm and inviting look.

The leaves of this drop-leaf table are firmly affixed with eight solid brass hinges with slotted screws, ensuring that they are sturdy and secure when extended. The gate legs pivot from the center of the skirt, providing additional stability and support. When fully open, the table stands upon six tapered legs, adding to its sturdy construction.

Original Blue and Red Painted Drop Leaf Table, Sweden circa 1840-60

There is wonderful aged charisma to this drop leaf gate leg table that can serve as a side table, demi-lune console or even kitchen table.
To find an original painted table such as this one is a special find. Note the blue and red paint (with specs/touches of white) have faded and been worn down through generations of use to the natural pine below.
When opened, the table top reveals white stencil flourishes along the edge. Fading (the red paint now has a soft salmon look to it), stains, distress and wear are all visible reflecting age and use.
When closed, the table is only 24.5” deep yet it expands to 45.75″ deep when fully opened.
The table has been restored, it is sturdy and ready to use and enjoy.
Please examine the close up photos to appreciate the aged patina of the wood; old scratches, nicks, stains and marks mix with the wood grain adding depth of character.
All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this versatile table.

Painted Pine and Oak Swivel-Top Table

Like its cousins the drawleaf and the dropleaf , the swivel-top is another clever way of increasing the size of a table when circumstances require it with the ability to return to a smaller footprint for regular use. Here, the top is double-thick. Each piece has a breadboard end and they are hinged together on the long side. The bottom piece is attached to a cross member, so placed inside the base, between the long aprons, that the top pivots through 90 degrees and hits a stop, unfolds on its hinges, and lays flat at double the size. The aprons have a “floor” which provides a useful storage space for placemats and utensils etc.
This one is unusual in that the top board is made of oak while the bottom board is the traditional pine. When opened the extended top is half pine and half oak. This table has lovely turned legs, finished in a deep soldier blue, worn through in places.
