A superb antique William IV period compactum wardrobe. This was made in England & dates from around the 1830-1840s period.

This is of amazing quality and is a most impressive piece. There are two tall sentry box style hanging compartments on either side of a large bank of generous drawers. The panelled doors have beautifully carved baluster rails going down the sides, with incredibly fine details. This sits on an inverted breakfront plinth base and the top has a beautifully moulded cornice. The central bank of drawers are adorned with a stunning shell carved pediment.

The wood has a gorgeous rich colour tone and wonderful grain patterns. We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There are various small marks and indentations here and there under the polish, commensurate for age.

This breaks down into six smaller sections for ease of transport, when assembled this is a very large item with lots of storage space for clothes.

Large 1930s art deco wardrobe in the style of Maurice Dufrène. This armoire has two hinged side doors opening onto a series of shelves and a central door with a large mirror opening onto a wardrobe. Very nice decorative work with marquetry using floral motifs. Very good vintage condition, with traces of age and use throughout (see photos).

The closet is first half 19 century and the origin is probably south of Germany

One -door ancient Biedermeier cabinet from the first half of the 19th century. The front is divided into six cassettes, with four of them being in the beveled corners. The cabinet is in good condition and has 1 shelf and a clothes rail. The original clothing hooks are still available.

A beautifully crafted bespoke oak wardrobe/ cupboard.
Very simple clean lines as you’d expect from the period. It has a nice deep drawer at the bottom. But this has the added bonus of a hinged lid, so it can be used as extra storage.It’s petite size lends it to multiple uses. A child’s wardrobe or can easily be adapted to a large drinks cabinet.

Another rare . An original compactom gentlemans wardrobe. On the left hand side, it has got an articulated hanging section for hanging clothes and on the right hand side it has got a series of shelves. Contains of original mirror and has an unique “hidden” compartment in the front for hanging a coat, see pictures. Includes special shaving mirror and compartments for storing shaving cream, razor, comb etc. The left door has a big mirror covering the whole inside. Empire wardrobe, the projecting removable cornice with brass decoration flanked by turned finials. Above two large beeveled mirror doors opening to reveal large hanging area. Flanked by circular colums with brass capitals. To the base section fitted with a pair of deep drawers with brass ring handles. All raised up on turned feet.
