All tiles are nominally 5 inches square and 5/16 inches thick.

The tiles all look to be hand painted, possibly over a light printed outline.

Top two tiles – colored
Two different tiles of horsemen, one with a sword.
Condition: Some very small edge rim nibbles.

Lower tile – blue and white
In varying shades of cobalt blue, showing a central flower sprig with a butterfly to the side and with four corner motifs. Impressed crown mark to back.
Condition: One nibble to the top side and minimal edge nibbles as per the images. No cracks and No restoration.

The handles are done in solid brass and have heavy rounded handles with ornately cast and pierced back plates with stylized floral decoration. The pair comes with its original wooden back plates. These handles may have originally come from a very large chest of drawers, a gate, a fireplace or a large trunk, but can be adapted for use in various architectural applications.

The tile is 5.5 inches ( 14cm) square and over 1/2 inches thick.

The tile is hand painted with polychrome enamels of blue, aubergine, red, green and yellow, all in varying shades. The tile is hand decorated with a horseman astride a horse, wearing a helmet and holding a spear, with two people stood by a tree, one of which appears to be tied to the tree trunk.

These early delft tiles are very hard to get in good condition.

Hand painted in varying shades of cobalt blue, showing a waterside scene with a boat on the water with various buildings on the land all within a border pattern.
Condition: Some edge nibbles and surface chipping to top right hand edge, otherwise good, as per the images. No cracks and No restoration.

Tile 2- Top right hand – Blue and white
hand painted with a harbour scene with boats and various houses, all within an octagonal cartouche with a good border pattern.
Condition: Some edge chipping as per the images, otherwise good with no cracks or restoration.

Tile 3 – Bottom Left – Religious scene. – Blue and white
Hand painted scene by the side of the Nile marked Exodus 2, V 5, all within a double circle with spider corner motifs.
Condition: Minor edge nibbling.

Tile 4 – Lower Right – Galleon – Polychrome enamels
This is hand decorated in coloured enamels with corner motifs.
Condition : Fair – Edge chipping with lower right hand corner chip as per images – otherwise very good
No cracks and no restoration.
