A gorgeous Persian Tabriz originally purchased as a wedding gift.
All the different elements make this piece extremely rare. There is love poem inscribed throughout 2 surrounding borders. If you look at the final image it is signed by a famous workshop tabriz and also mentions that it was ordered for by a person called “zadeh.” The design is also quite unique as you rarely see a Paisley pattern woven within a medallion and four corner design. In addition, there are willow trees and small vases woven in two of the outer borders which you typically tend to see in the background of a Persian carpet.
