2 Tier 19th Century Electric Model Dutch Brass Chandelier with 12 Lights H70xW70

This grand two-tier Vermeer 115 chandelier is a remarkable example of Dutch brass craftsmanship from the 17th century. Each of the 70cm broad tiers of the chandelier is illuminated by twelve beautiful arms that are united by a central column with an etched floral flourish. The hollow brass fixture’s 70cm height may be large, but its curved arms and ornate frame give it a light, airy elegance. This chandelier from the 1600s illuminates contemporary areas while evoking the the feel of candle-lit palaces and manors of Holland’s past. The Vermeer 115 adds a sumptuous addition to modern environments with its split-level tiered design and warm metallic lustre.

Original historical moulds from the era are utilised to create the brass components. Additionally, casting is still done the old-fashioned way in a greasy type of sand called Brussels’ soil. After the crown has been varnished, skilled artisans assemble the components. Electric crowns have bent hollow brass tubes for the arms. The arms and curls are soldered together. While the crowns are being put together, the electrical wiring and lighting components are covertly inserted.
