The single-tier Vermeer 116 chandelier, which displays the trademarks of 17th-century Dutch craftsmanship, creates a strong impression with its 74 cm wide brass frame and 12 gently arcing arms. Original historical moulds from the era are utilised to create the brass components. Additionally, casting is still done the old-fashioned way in a greasy type of sand called Brussels’ soil. After the crown has been varnished, skilled artisans assemble the components. Electric crowns have bent hollow brass tubes for the arms. The arms and curls are soldered together. While the crowns are being put together, the electrical wiring and lighting components are covertly inserted.
