An extremely elegant French 18th century Directoire period mahogany, ormolu and brass side table. The table is raised by three lightly scrolled legs with fine ormolu mounts with beautiful intricate patterns of delicate palmettes, honey comb designs and wheat sprigs. The slender circular central support displays a baluster shape and fine fluted designs with fitted brass fillets. The circular top above showcases the warm mahogany wood grain centered by a circular brass reserve and decorated with a wraparound brass fillet and framed in an impressive and most charming pierced ormolu gallery with a lovely heart design.
