A very elegant pair of French 19th century Directoire st. Mahogany, ebonized Fruitwood, and Vert Maurin marble consoles. Each freestanding console is raised by slender square tapered legs joined by a fine bottom shelf with most decorative concave fronts and sides. The straight frieze displays two drawers showcasing the beautiful Mahogany grain with a lovely raised border and an inlaid central crest shaped ebonized Fruitwood keyhole escutcheon. Above are the original fitted Vert Maurin marble tops framed within an elegant Mahogany border.
