A French Directoire style walnut console table from the 19th century with folding top, two leaves, single drawer, tapered legs and brown patina. Created in France during the 19th century, this Directoire style walnut table features a rectangular planked top measuring 56.75 inches wide by 28 inches of depth when closed. This hinged top turns to the side and unfolds to extend to a square, measuring 56.75 inches wide x 56.75 inches deep. This top is resting above an elegant apron adorned with recessed panels and concealing a lateral drawer. The table is 30.5 inches high when the top is unfolded and 31.87 inches when closed. The ensemble is raised on four tapered legs with carved accents on the knees, resting on brass casters. With its clean lines, very interesting unfolding design and Classical silhouette, this French Directoire style walnut table from the 19th century will make for a wonderful addition to any home, perhaps placed in a living room or foyer.
