This antique bureau is fully decorated with veneered and solid walnut, cherry and maple veneer placed obliquely in a herringbone pattern, to form both on the sides and on the front, elegant opposite contrasts within inlaid frames. Great patina, wandeful antique locks.
Edges and profiles are originally decorated by hand-made jutting frames.
It comes from a private palazzo, it was part of the furnishings of a famous doctor psychoanalyst of Ancona, who used it both as storage cabinet and writing bureau, Ancona is in Marche, one of the most beautiful Italian regions located in the Central area of the country.
It is in good age related condition, with signs of wear and use overall and traces of its 250 years of history. The bureau comes from a private house, shows minor cosmetic wear and old restorations.
