Magnificent and ultra rare Art Deco Modernist corner cabinet. Design in the style of Jan Brunott. Striking Dutch design from the 1920s. Solid oak base with original black lacquered lining. Original red lacquered top with solid macassar ebony lining. Two original glass sliding doors. In very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. A real eye-catcher for your home or office. We will ship this museum piece in a custom made wooden crate for safe transport when purchased by overseas buyers! The Modernist look of this wonderful Art Deco corner cabinet is also known in the Netherlands under the name Haagse School. The Haagse School was inspired by the designs of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The famous Dutch Art Magazine Wendingen published a series of articles on Frank Lloyd Wright in 1925. Well known architects of the Haagse School are Hendrik Wouda, Jan Wils, Frits Spanjaard, Cor Alons and Jan Brunott.
