Vintage Design
Sculptural design by the Italo-American sculptor and designer Harry Bertoia from 1956.
The construction made of welded roller wire was revolutionary at the time and brought international attention to the artist. Bertoia’s wire chairs are now icons of the mid-century design. The chairs look airy and light and are still stable and comfortable. The art historian Brian Lutz commented on Bertoia’s work. We follow: “Bertoia’s paintings were better than sculptures. And his sculptures were Better than Furniture. And his venue was absolutely brilliant “
Good used condition with moderate signs of wear. The Rilsan coating with some smaller damage.
