A stunning George III Sheraton Period lady’s small tambour fronted desk.
Constructed from exceptional figured satinwood with rosewood crossbanding between boxwood line inlay.
The domed top housing a useful drawer with lions head pulls and each corner having well-carved finials.
The tambour is in excellent condition, runs freely and opens to reveal a very attractive interior consisting of four mahogany lined drawers, six pigeonholes, small central cupboard and pull out writing slide with tooled leather and five dummy drawers.
The two drawers have silvered ring pulls above the two concave doors which have attractive oval inlaid panels and flanked by finely reeded columns with decorated capitals and turned feet.
The whole in very good condition with a couple of old shrinkage repairs to the back and side which are visible in the photos.
