Swedish black tilt-top table made during the mid 19th century, around 1860. The table is painted with black paint that has become distressed and the wood underneath shines trough in places. The distress also gives more character and dimension to the table along with the warm patina of the pine.
The table has an oval table top with a bevelled edge going all around. The legs are sturdy and decoratively carved. The single column going into the 3 feet is a common structure for the time. The small size and neutral colour also means it would work well with a multitude of interior styles, from modern to traditional, minimalism to maximalism.
